COMMEMORATION OF 9/11 It is hard to comprehend that this past Saturday marked 20 years since the September 11 terrorist attack on America. Most can recall memories of “where they were when the twin towers were struck”. To honor and commemorate this 20 year anniversary, our very own local filmmaker and GPSR Board President, James Ronald Whitney shared his award winning movie, “Telling Nicolas” with our community. Nearly 200 distinguished guests, assembly members, mayors, council, city officials, first responders, celebrities, REALTORS and community partners attended this red carpet encore held at the Mary Pickford Theater in Cathedral City. The event benefitting Variety of the Desert Children’s Charity, was co-sponsored by the City of Palm Springs and the Greater Palm Springs Realtors, as well as Bennion Deville, Loan Depot, Fidelity National Home Warranty, Mortgage Works, Frazier Pest Control, and Contempo Lending.
